My name is Tara Withers and I am a qualified Boxercise Instructor. I am passionate about keeping fit and healthy. As a result of my qualifications and Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Science my aim is to share my experience and knowledge with others.
I very much enjoy a variety of sporting activities including Athletics in which I compete for Bedford and County Athletics Club, this together with playing hockey on a recreational basis and general Keep Fit.
Over the last couple of years I have also qualified as a Swimming Teacher and now teach classes of children of all ages and abilities to swim. I am competent, enthusiastic and feel at home teaching in the water or from the side of the pool.
I am also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist offering Sport & Remedial Massage Sessions. A sports massage is a good choice if you have a specific problem -- a tender knee from running, for instance. As a therapist I firstly focus in on the problem area -- a frozen shoulder or pulled hamstring, for instance -- and then offer a full body massage.
I am a warm friendly person who very much likes interacting and catering for people of all ages and abilities. I have a confident, open, friendly and patient approach. I also have good communication skills, both teaching and listening.
